Aussies and Gassers

Currently we are on the road to Nauvoo, IL. It's a major LDS historical site and I am super excited as I am a history lover and it's my first experience to Nauvoo! Time to get my hee-haw on. In the meantime, I am having one of my fellow Mormon bloggers, Lisa, tell you yet another funny store that may or may not include something about kiddos passing gas. Makes for pretty humorous stuff! Lisa is awesome, so I'll let you get to know her a bit better...

Hey there Along Abbey Road readers! I'm Lisa, a 21 year old Aussie, from over at L!$@'s Life.

My blog is all about the random happenings that go on in my life. Oh yeah, and the awesome and interesting things I find on the internet usually make it there too.

One of the most important things in my life is my family. The other night I had 2 of my siblings and my niece to stay over for the night (they live a good 300kms away). As my apartment is quite small, my sister, niece and I shared the 2 single mattress I have, with the little 3 year old in the middle. I discovered that night that my niece is hilarious when she is tired. As she was falling asleep she was muttering to herself and I asked her what she said: "I'm talking to myself Aunty Lisa" was her reply. 

I nearly lost it laughing, but had to stop myself so she would actually go to sleep.

Then at 4am she woke up with tummy pains -- she has a medical condition that causes gas to build up occasionally. Normally you can release it through her stomach peg, but my sister had forgotten the tube, so we told her she needed to try and burp or fart to get it out. Well! The weird positions and things she did next to try and get it out were hilarious and eventually she did a fart. The best bit was that right afterwards she announced: "I did a big fart!" There was no holding in the laughter this time. My 2 siblings and I lost it! After we'd all calmed down again, we had to explain that it was still night time and she had to go back to sleep.

Kids really do come out with the funniest things. Especially when they're really tired :D
